I have professional experience since 2007 in developing small to large-scale websites and web-applications based on web standards like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Node.js. I know modern toolchains like React.js, Next.js, Angular, TypeScript, or TailwindCSS and others.
So far I worked with dozens of clients of any size and have extensive experience in leading teams and organizing projects successfully with lean methods. I have experience in leading and coaching teams and therefore boosting performance, stability and happiness of the teams.

Work History
December 2011 - now: Freelance web designer and engineer
- January 2025 – now
- Frontend Engineer at Jedox, helping the teams with their frontend libraries, a unified component library, and transitioning old external solutions into modern internal projects.
- April 2023 – December 2024
- Scrum Master / Effectiveness Coach at Testo, helping the Data Engineering team to be more effective building AI and various API products in time.
- November 2022 – March 2023
- Frontend Architecture and Frontend Engineer (React, TypeScript) at Testo, organizing and building the architecture, technology and workflow base for a new Web Application serving a global customer portal and connecting various products and APIs together.
- August 2022 – February 2023
- Satellite Transformation Project at Siedle, refactoring an existing codebase into a modern, reliable, and high-performance codebase to solve their ongoing performance problems with the web application that’s used in the fields by thousands of customers. We achieved a lean and robust solution that’s seamless to use and has no performance issues anymore.
- May 2017 – 2021
- Co-founder and developer of Colloq, an event management and knowledge discovery platform. As a team of three, we founded and created a social event platform from scratch. After four years, we shut down the project due to lack of market relevance.
- January 2019 – March 2020
- Engineering & Delivery Management for LaterPay. I helped two teams building the right things that are valuable for the customers, prioritized the work and coached people these skills so they can do it on their own. As Engineering Manager I made sure that people are well, can work in a safe work environment and at the same time evolve their career and learn new skills. This included hiring people and helping the HR department in their decisions.
- December 2014 - March 2020
- Front-End Consultancy, Development for LaterPay. I refactored a lot of legacy code and built new, fast and scalable codebases with modern Toolchains in a set of three teams. This included coaching Junior developers and regularly auditing other codebases for performance, scalability, accessibility problems.
- January 2018 – May 2019
- Front-end architecture and development for Adverma agency. I helped building two websites that serve millions of customers and data with a lean tech stack in the background. This included a lot of hand-crafted code and smart decisions to solve certain problems that come with such projects. I was responsible for the frontend part and the overall technical customer experience.
- November 2016 – May 2017
- Front-End Development for Greenpeace International. In a small team we’ve done the architecture of the international set of websites for the organisation. This meant a styleguide and custom tech framework on a Wordpress Multi-Site basis, using Scrum as work methodology. I was responsible for the frontend guidelines and codebase.

- Wireframe and Front-End Prototype Development for Sahana Disaster Management Foundation
- January 2014 - October 2014
- Front-End Developer at Vaillant Group. I was hired for building a global website system that scales and lasts within a small team. Quickly, we grew to 45 people and I together with a colleague was responsible for the frontend stack and coordination of the project as well as supervising the two of four Scrum teams. In parallel, I build many of the frontend components, test framework and infrastructure with my team. The big part of the project was finished within one year, a perfect example of well working teams and a well organized project.

- Front-End Development and Tablet-Applications for Hubert Burda Media / FOCUS Magazin Verlag, using brand new web technologies that most people did not know about much. As ambassador of Adobe and expert for other big tech companies working on web standards, I was one of the first using the new HTML5 and CSS3 features in real life.

November 2007 - December 2011: Founder of a 2 person design agency
We built Corporate Designs, websites and did consultancy work for a variety of people and companies successfully. After four years, my business partner switched jobs and this business was split up and transformed into my sole freelance business in 2011.
